RULES for

The present Rules for compilation, filing and examination of application for registration and entitlement to use registered TK are developed in accordance with the Article 4, Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Protection of Traditional Knowledge”; Rules contain explanations of the State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic for Law enforcement “On Protection of Traditional Knowledge”.

ORDER OF THE GOMERNMENT OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

According to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Protection of Traditional Knowledge (TK)”:

1. To authorize the following public bodies and institutions to determine conformity of knowledge related to the category “TK”, its practical use and positive result of such use:
- Ministry of Industry, Energy and Fuel Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic – relating knowledge in the field of industry and fuel-energy complex;

Section I
General Provisions

1. This Regulation has been developed to enforce the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Copyright and Related Rights” and shall regulate relations on payment of royalties by all organizations that use Copyright and Related Rights subject matters.

In order to optimize activities of state bodies and functioning of the Intellectual Property system and being guided by Article 46 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, I decree:

1. To adopt the attached Regulation and management structure of the State Intellectual Property Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
2. To specify that:
- the State Intellectual Property Service of the Kyrgyz Republic shall be a self-financing entity;

Locarno Agreement Concerning the International Classification for Industrial Designs was adopted on Oct. 8, 1968 by a diplomatic conference in Locarno (Switzerland), to which were invited all the member countries of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (hereinafter “the Locarno Agreement,” the Locarno Classification).

Locarno Classification consists of:

(i) a list of classes and subclasses;
(ii) an alphabetical list of items, in which both designs together with an indication of the corresponding classes and subclasses;
