“Library to reader, reader to library” under this slogan the State Patent Technical Library realized a special action, dedicated to the Libraries Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is just for the second year Librarians of Kyrgyzstan celebrate their professional holiday - “Libraries Day”. This day librarians try to express to state officers libraries’ role and importance at a civil society establishing, for democratization, social and economic development.

The system of library informative providing of cultural, educational, developmental activities of Kyrgyzstan society has been kept nowadays thanks to active work of librarians from village, urban, district and regional public libraries, science libraries of educational institutions, special libraries and in spite of minimal salaries, absence of completing funds financing, the ICT system and modern library furniture.

This year in the frameworks of the professional holiday, celebrated on May 27, the SPTL’s staff realized the action: “Library to reader, reader to library”.

This day officials of this special book-stack provided to the library visitors their library informative services free of charge. In its turn, the SPTL’s collective invoked readers to remember about library books, which they had used in olden times, but by some reasons did not return until now.

“We will thank readers, who could find an opportunity to present publications to library, which nowadays are not actual, – said Mrs. Liudmila Baklikova, Director of the SPTL, - these books might serve to educational purposes. They would help to our readers for studies and work”.
