The ICANN Corporation has postponed the question consideration on administrative function redelegation of the national domain zone “KG”.

The negotiations may be continued after elections, establishing of ingoing administration and when the main politic directions of new government in the field of Internet will be determined. At the same time the State Intellectual Property Service (SIPS) has opportunity to stand up for the right to transfer its assignment on the national domain zone administration.

Kyrgyzpatent’s efforts to the domain “KG” administration are aimed at increasing of registrars’ amount of the top level domains in “KG”zone, enhancement of their services quality and creation of the propitious competitive environment by means of cost reduction of domains registration. All of this should to lead to more accessibility of services, further development of modern IT sector in Kyrgyzstan, and assistance in forming positive image of state in the community of states.

Between leadership of the created Administrative Center National Domain Zone under Kyrgyzpatent and Internet Community, namely: the public association “Civic Initiative on Internet Policy” and present administrator of the Domain Zone “KG” - “AsiaInfo” company were held a discussion on possibility of creation new independent civil organization, which will include on principle of parity representatives of the non-governmental sector, state body and business community, whose activity is concern to Internet. At present time this question are considering with stakeholders and Kyrgyzpatent’s representatives will participate in discussion.

Necessary to note, that from beginning negotiation process with ICANN within redelegation procedure, Kyrgyzpatent prepared all necessary for realizing authority on administrating infrastructure.

“Nobody is also practically assured that administrating domain zone is request early reform, Mr. Nurlan Bayaman, Director Advisor of the SIPS commented situation. - Our efforts will direct to continue mouths-long work on creation technical infrastructure jointly with reforming society of the administrative center into public society body administrating national domain zone.
