The question on a special reward establishing of the State Intellectual Property Service for companies and organizations, which show the greatest activity at applications filing for patents, promote domestic trademarks to foreign market and popularize knowledge in the field of IP among youth, was discussed in the regular brainstorming in Kyrgyzpatent.

This form of collective discussion of the most important questions as “brainstorming” has been accepted in Kyrgyzpatent recently and it was strongly supported by the Office leadership. All interested officials of the Office may participate in the brainstorming on Fridays at the end of workday.

For this once the brainstorming participants considered the question on the SIPS special reward establishing, which will be awarded by results of a year to companies and organizations demonstrating the best achievements in the field of Intellectual Property using.

It is expected that the reward will be represented as a statuette with Kyrgyzpatent’s symbol. Some variants were offered of the future “Oskar” titles, including “Altyn Monchok” and “Altyn Tumar”. The nominations were also discussed for candidatures definition. Six nominations are supposed to be awarded: “The best Partner of Kyrgyzpatent”, “The best Foreign Applicant”, “The best National Applicant”, “The best Kyrgyz Brand Abroad”, “Innovations for the Market” and special reward for the Republican educational institutions “Smithy of Intellectuals”.

“The purpose of the reward, - Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Director of the SIPS, comments the innovation, - to stimulate applications filing with Kyrgyzpatent on various Intellectual Property subject matters. We have adopted experience of the Turkish Patent Institute after our visit to Ankara for participation in the Patent Awards Ceremony by invitation of Turkish colleagues. We hope that this undertaking will encourage not only the growth of activeness of our partners and clients, but will be used for popularization the intellectual property issues in our society”.
