The new glossary of terms in the field of intellectual property in Kyrgyz will be worked up in Kyrgyzpatent. The special work group, which includes representatives of various office divisions, will carry out this work.
According to Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Director of the State Intellectual Property Service the previous glossary was developed in 1996 and does not meet the nowadays requirements. In this regard all Kyrgyzpatent divisions were charged until May 4 to check out terms, using in their competence - whether examination of trademarks, inventions, industrial designs, copyright protection etc, to prepare a description of these terms and to introduce to the work group their suggestions on these terms translating into the state language.
Moreover by proposal of Mrs. Nurjamal Iliasova, Head of Intellectual Property Enforcement Division it is expected to analyze carefully terms of functioning laws in the field of intellectual property as well as draft laws, which are under development or under consideration and deciding procedure. The fact is that the new Law “On normative legal acts” contains norms, indicated that in the case of legal collisions appearance by reason of variant reading of texts in the state and the official languages, the text, published in the state language shall be taken taking into account. It greatly raises requirements to the quality of laws and other regulatory acts, especially for terms.
According to Mr. Ulan Melisbek this work is needed also for completing of the Office automation process in Kyrgyzpatent, which has been started past year.
