On March 2, 2010 in the course of weekly visit of the WIPO delegation represented by Mr. Ron Marchant, the WIPO independent consultant, Mr. Michal Svantner, Director of the Division for Certain Countries in Europe and Asia (WIPO) and Mr. Alexandr Matveev, Senior Consultant of the Division, the excursion of Kyrgyzpatent buildings for the delegation was arranged. Director Ulan Melisbek, Mr. Daniar Sydykov, Deputy Director, and Mr. Bakyt Kenenbaev, State Secretary were the guides.

During the visit the WIPO representatives got acquainted with the work of Kyrgyzpatent staff and talked to specialists who have examined intellectual property subject matters. Looking over work rooms, guests noted a quite high level of equipment. “We are doing our best to provide proper and qualitative level of experts’ work”, said Mr. Ulan Melisbek.

The Delegation also looked over the patent information; they visited Kyrgyzpatent’s Library at the second building of Kyrgyzpatent as well as the State Patent-Technical Library. International experts noted a great significance of information support in the field of intellectual property and they promised to send additional literature in English and Russian for replenishment of the Library’s stocks.
