From October 5 to 9, 2009, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) jointly with the World Trade Organization (WTO) will arrange the WIPO/WTO Advanced Course on Intellectual Property for Government Officials in Geneva, Switzerland.

The main objective of the course is to update government officials in developing countries and countries with economies in transition on the activities and instruments of WIPO and the WTO, and to provide the forum for an exchange of information and ideas between them and the two Secretariats on these matters. The emphasis would be on recent developments and policy issues under debate in the two organizations.
