Meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

On April 22, 2009 Mr. Arstanbek Berdaliev, Head of Special Sector of Kyrgyzpatent met with Mr. A. M. Bazavlyuk, Deputy Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the meeting issues related to implementation of international treaties and decisions taken within the Collective Security Treaty Organization in 2003-2009 were discussed.

In his turn, representative of Kyrgyzpatent informed participants of the meeting on the progress of implementation of the Agreement on reciprocal protection of intellectual activity outcomes, that were achieved and are used during military and economic cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization signed in Dushanbe on October 6, 2007, effective from January 15, 2009.

The State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic actively participates in the meeting of joint working group to implement the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the reciprocal protection of rights for intellectual activity outcomes that have been achieved and are used in the course of bilateral military and technical cooperation.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:

- Treaties concluded (agreements, contracts) on the use of intellectual property outcomes that have been achieved and are used in the field of military and technical cooperation в.

- Implementation of Articles 4 and 6 of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the reciprocal protection of the rights for intellectual activity outcomes that have been achieved and are used in the course of bilateral military and technical cooperation.

The next meeting of the working group will be dedicated to discussion of the Draft Recommendations to include provisions on the protection of the rights for intellectual activity outcomes into agreements (contracts).
