Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Chairman of Kyrgyzpatent, was on mission in Czech Republic last week and before departure gave an interview to Azattyk-Radio office in Prague.

“Azattyk”: Ulan, welcome to Prague. What is your purpose for being here in Czech Republic?

On 17th of September Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Chairman of the State Patent Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and Mr. Nurlan Bayaman, Assistant of Chairman, visited the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic within the framework of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) study visit.

During the visit the specialist of the Czech Office organized the excursion, during which they provided Kyrgyzpatent delegation with information on organization of the office and structure of work, advanced practice of the office.

On September 2, 2009 in the central building of the State Patent Service Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Chairman and Mr. Bakyt Kenenbaev, State Secretary met with the APC Company representatives.
Participants of this meeting discussed the perspectives of further cooperation between Kyrgyzpatent and the APC Company. The parties exchanged by mutually valuable proposals and opinions on topic issues, namely on realization of different projects in the field of information technologies.

The Press Service of the State Patent Service received a statement of Mr. Aleksey Vandaev, the patent attorney, regarding the materials disseminated on the Internet libeling Mr. Ulan Melisbek, Kyrgyzpatent Chairman.

The officials of the State Patent Service and patent attorneys held a meeting on the Office Work Automation in the edifice of Kyrgyzpatent on August 6, 2009. I was also invited to this meeting along with other patent attorneys.

“EBEM” (E-Business E-Moscow) Presentation of the Program for Automation System of Documentation Management took place on August 19, 2009 in the Conference Hall of the Public Information Center under Executive Office of President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The action was organized by JSC “E-Moscow”.

On July 22 to 24, 2009 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) “The automation of a modern patent office and establishment of a technology information center” seminar took place, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) and the National Center for Patents and Information (NCPI) of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The seminar was aimed at exchange of experience between Patent Offices in the field of automation of application e-filing.
